Family holding hands

Choose a fund

Our flexible giving instruments make it easy for donors to make a difference in Stanislaus.

Become an Angel

Stanislaus Community Foundation makes quick, smaller grants to assist with special projects. Angel Gifts are those less than $2,500 in unrestricted funds which allow our Board of Directors to respond to emerging and unpredicted community needs. Angels are recognized to the recipients or remain anonymous if you wish.

Join the Friend's Circle

You’re invited to make a philanthropic gift at the $2,500 Friend's level. These gifts help sustain the Community Foundation and make life-changing differences for residents throughout the county. You will be recognized in all printed material (unless you ask to remain anonymous).

Support the community

Gifts to the Community Foundation Endowment help us continue to solve needs and problems in Stanislaus County now and in the future.

Establish your personal legacy

With a gift of $5,000 or more, you can establish one of the following funds in your name, or in honor of a special person or cause:

Unrestricted funds

Unrestricted funds offer the broadest giving option, allowing grants to be made wherever our professional staff and Board of Directors determines our community’s needs are the greatest.

Field of interest funds

Do you have a passion for the arts? Health care? Youth? Establish a fund and create grants that meet needs in a particular field or geographic area that is of interest to you.

Donor advised funds

Stay involved in your giving. Establish a donor advised fund and recommend specific organizations to receive grants.

Scholarship funds

Help students pursue academic goals. With a scholarship fund, you may define guidelines for candidacy, the school and the amount of the award itself within IRS guidelines for nonprofit organizations.

Designated funds

Support specific nonprofit organizations with a designated fund. We’ll make sure that grants to these groups remain relevant over time and responsive to changing circumstances.

Organizational endowment funds

These special designated funds are established by nonprofit organizations to provide long-term income to them. We handle all administrative and investment responsibilities, freeing the organization to pursue its charitable mission.

Supporting organizations

Establishing a supporting organization at Stanislaus Community Foundation is an excellent alternative to a private foundation, with only a fraction of the administrative responsibilities.

Have you been considering a private foundation? Donor advised funds at the Foundation can be a cost-effective way to establish a funding source and keep your family involved in grantmaking. Contact us to learn how.
